In my professional career in health care, I have served in a variety of roles, and in a variety of environments, around the world. Over the past three years, as a member of the community, I have been a frequent in-person observer of Hospital Board proceedings. The recent positive change has been dramatic.
Many of us remember, not too long ago, when it was a challenge to find a primary care manager. Living through it; we do not want to experience it again.
The improvements at Whidbey Hospital over the past few years have been short of monumental. For example a modernized Electronic Health Record program, new HVAC system for the Operating Room, Emergency Room remodel, Coupeville Walk-In Clinic, Coupeville Retail Pharmacy, and a “Best in State” Infection Control Program.
The positive change that has been earned must continue, and the Hospital Board must be galvanized to confront those future challenges already upon us.
I believe my professional background, and my proven commitment to my community provides me with the tools needed to contribute to the Hospital Board, and to the future.
